The Olympic art residency for photographers was created in 2021 for Olympic Hotel in Heraklion, Crete. It aims to create a printed collection of photographs by young contemporary photographers, on the subject of anthropogenic and urban landscape of the city of Heraklion and the wider area.
The selection of photographers is made by the visual photographer Maria Choulaki through the final selections of the Athens Photo Festival and the festival of Niort / Villa Pérochon / Rencontres de la Jeune Photographie Internationale in collaboration with Photoxenia, a platform for hosting photographers in Crete.
